Our Ideas

Our voluntary Organisers, through co-ordinating with Bristol City Council’s Parks Service, ward Councillors, & local volunteers, businesses & charities, will endeavour to maintain & develop the lawns, brook & planting of the park. We will also keep a steady eye on encouraging urban WildLife to survive & thrive, so that we may all improve our favourite Big-Little-Park in Bristol for the enjoyment & benefit of all.

Goal One

  • control invasive, non-indigenous plants

  • plant as many native, berry- & fruit-bearing shrubs, bushes, plants & flowers as possible

  • diversify visual colour, cover & food for our WildLife

Goal Two

  • host Community Activities that entertain & inform local residents & visitors

  • stage ‘Treasures Hunts’ for example an egg-, pumpkin-, pixie-, or Pirate-Treasure Hunt

  • arrange bird- & bat-watches including bird-, owl- & bat-boxes (potentially with live-feed cameras)

  • organise creativity & entertainment events including live-music, arts-trails, & creativity-participation

Goal Three

  • Strengthen the fabric & resilience of the park for future generations of residents & visitors, especially children, so that they may admire, enjoy & learn from our favourite Big-Little-Park in Bristol 🌳
